Insurance

bwellbaby is a self-pay practice. However, if you are providing breastmilk (or that is your goal), your visit may be fully or partially covered by your insurance.  bwellbaby works with The Lactation Network (TLN) and Wildflower Health to accept several health plans for lactation and feeding-related services.

  • If the mother has: Aetna, All Savers, First Health, Meritain, Multiplan, NC State Health Plan, Oxford Health Plan, PNOA, Surest, Sutter Health, UMR, United Healthcare, VA CCN (veteran only) or Velocity, click here to verify your insurance.

Additional OT Fee

  • For families using TLN or Wildflower Health | $60

  • This fee is for the occupational therapy expertise that is provided at every appointment.

  • This fee is not covered by insurance and is billed through our secure portal. Debit, credit, HSA, and FSA cards accepted.

A few things to note:

  • If you've already been approved through TLN with another provider (IBCLC), you'll need to re-enter your information using the bwellbaby-specific link above.

  • Please let us know if you've used TLN before — visit limits are per pregnancy, not per provider, so we want to make sure you get the most out of your benefits.

If you have questions about this process, I am happy to help guide you.

Is This Right for You?

This care is a great fit for families who:

  • Want one-on-one, unrushed support

  • Are looking for root-cause answers, not quick fixes

  • Value expert guidance in feeding and early development

Physician Referral NOT Required.

North Carolina is an open-access state, meaning a prescription for occupational therapy services is not required. However, your health insurance plan may require a referral for reimbursement purposes.
